A Word From The Coordinator

We had a great turnout for our Welcome meeting in August! I hope it was helpful to all the new families in attendance, and I truly appreciate all the returning members (the board, the mentor committee, the committee heads) who were there to help make the meeting a success. We also moved the library in August! It was as easy as shooting fish in a barrel. Thanks to Velvet and her crew working to pack everything ahead of time, with the right tools and organization, the guys were able to get our arsenal of knowledge moved in no time.

I am hopeful that everyone is off to a great start on the school year. I know from experience that sometimes we have ideas of grandeur, then reality comes crashing down and can leave us feeling a wide array of emotions. I hope that you will share how things are going with other moms at our events so we can encourage and support each other whether things are good or difficult.

The mentoring committee is going to reboot “Spotlight on Moms”. Anyone who is interested can fill out the Google form and email a picture of themselves to me for use on our Facebook page. How often we share a “Spotlight on Mom” to our Facebook group will depend on how many moms fill out the Google form. The hope is that you will find someone you have something in common with, learn of a skill another mom has, etc, so that it might be easier to go up to someone at an event and start a conversation. Membership News & Reminders

Signup Reminder

Remember that most REACH Events will include a signup link for you to fill out if you plan to attend. This allows those planning to have a headcount prior to the day of the event. If you fail to sign up for an event, there is a possibility that the organizer will not be prepared. The goal is to never have to turn anyone away from an event, but please be aware of your responsibility. Check for a signup link for any REACH function your family plans to attend. Links are available in the Newsletter, website Calendar, and weekly Monday Reminders.

REACH T-Shirt Orders

The REACH T-shirt order form will remain open for any late orders. All late orders and payments must be submitted by September 5. Feel free to pass the link along to family members who may be interested in purchasing a shirt to support REACH.

Yearbook Announcement

Our 2022-2023 yearbooks are in! Feel free to contact Leslie to pick up your book.

Now, we are looking for 4 or 5 high school students to serve on our staff for this year. Students need to have an interest in things such as: design/layout, photography, editorial work, etc. Students must be able to make commitments to class meetings, home assignments, and participation in REACH activities. A laptop is required for class. Yearbook may be a half-credit elective course but please don't use it just for that purpose. If students don't have a heart for the work, they will not apply themselves to it. If your student is interested, please contact Leslie Conditt. Our meeting schedule will be determined by what works best for the majority.

2023-2024 yearbooks will be $39.36 and may be purchased starting Sept. 1. This price includes a fundraiser amount of $5. If you are new to REACH or have not ordered in the past, you will need to create an account with TreeRing. You will need this code to link your account to our book: 1014951323491804.
