Coordinator News
Wow! 2020! As a child, I could barely imagine seeing the year 2020. It was the subject of science fiction movies, songs, and great speculation. I can look back at some of the speculations and laugh now because in many ways we are not nearly at the level we had imagined. In other ways, we are far beyond what we could have imagined at the time. Who would have thought that we could hold in our hands more computing power than an entire roomful of servers could hold only 50 years ago? So many changes in my lifetime.
On the subject of change, my family has more changes in this season. We are in transition in many ways. Dad (Ed) is living with my parents in Indiana at this time while working in Indianapolis. The kids and I are in Arkansas for this time. Both kids are teenagers. (A difficult time for everybody). As a part of the transition, Cayla will be starting full-time at public school in January. Part of the reason for this is that both kids plan to attend public school once we move to Indiana.
While this decision is not necessarily the one I would have made, I believe that it is part of what needs to happen in this time of transition. Because of this change, I will be stepping down as coordinator of REACH sooner than I had hoped. Please be in prayer for us as we transition, REACH as it feels the effects of all the changes, and the REACH board as they have to add to their busy-ness to fill in the gaps.
The Creechs love the REACH family and we hope to stay in contact with you as we get our house ready to sell and eventually move. Hopefully, we will be able to attend at least one more teen event before we leave (although it will be as guests). God bless you all!
